#LongLiveIndieBiz - May 2022

We’re back baby!

Everyone’s favourite indie biz round up is back and it’s better than ever (it’s the same, we got excited). Join us for a monthly round up of the brands that are catching our eye right now and curate your instagram feed with some independent eye candy.

From L-R:

We can’t deny our love for beautiful notebooks, instead we’re embracing our obsession loud and proud starting with these beautiful notebooks from Hannah Lily Designs. Described as a ‘stylish place to store all your thoughts and ideas’ we couldn’t agree more which is why we’re coveting this ‘Divine journal’ (£15) in the perfect Untld Project shade

Be still our beating hearts, how magical is this blossom terrazzo mirror from Made By Paulina!? It’s no secret we’re big fans of Jesmonite based creations, but this flower themed piece from the brand is a game changer, we’re of course going to be treating ourselves to the ‘Cherry Blossom Flower Mirror’ because quite honestly it fills our hearts with joy (£34.99)

Now there are a lot of embroidery kits out there but trust us when we say you ain’t seen nothing until you check out Make & Mend Co. Not only do they host a super creative craft festival in the grounds of a stately home, but they sell a range of stitchable paper kits which we’re very much enjoying. Why not send a ‘Mini message in a box’ (£12) to your fave just because you can!

We’ve been following Whole Punching for the longest time, we love her simple, modern take on punch needle and her debut book also has pride of place on our book shelf. We’re always excited to see what she’s going to bring us next and her entire spring collection doesn’t disappoint, like this ‘Punch needle cushion kit’ (£65) OOF!

From L-R:

This one goes out to our girl Holly James, the most emotional gal we know because how perfect is this jumper from See The Way I See!? Hailing from the US of A, this amazing brand was found by Nerrisa on a late night Tik Tok binge and trust that she’ll be spending the duration of 2022 trying to get this ‘I’m pretty cool but I cry a lot’ (£60) for the ultimate HJ Christmas gift

Do you ever need to just hear these three little words? Well don’t worry because Sew Sophie Crafts is about to make all your cross stitch dreams come true. This ‘I am enough’ cross stitch kit (£12) will not only give you the gift of a mindful evening of crafting, but you can remind yourself of this important message every time you look at it.

Dakota Rae Dust is all about joy bringing jewellery and well, we can hardly disagree - just look at it! With sustainability at the brands heart, these earrings are made using repurposed fabrics so they’re good for the planet AND good for your wardrobe. These ‘Tassel earrings’ (£42) are bringing all the neon vibes anyone could ever need in their lives

Some say that knitting and buying knitting supplies are two different hobbies and since we’re stitch deficient (we can’t knit) we’ll have to get on board with the latter. Which is great news because Vicki Brown Designs is killing us with all these crafty choices! Want to dip your toe in the wooly water? Treat yourself to The Mini Skein Club (from £33 a month)

From L-R:

Peach Eyes is a slow fashion brand that creates slow fashion garments and accessories including the tights of our literal dreams. We of course fell hard for these Clueless inspired ‘Rosa tights’ (£22) because well look at them - Alexa, play ‘Fancy’ by Iggy Azalea so we can WERK IT

Can you tell we’re keen to go on holiday soon? Not at all helped by this awe inspiring collection from Junk LDN. Made from recycled fabrics, size inclusive and body positive, we’re obsessed with this bold brand. We’ll can just see ourselves sipping Pina Coladas by the pool in the ‘Love Heart Print bikini’ (From £48)

We’re always proud when a craft pal achieves greatness and The Makers Marks has well and truly gone and done it. Her debut book ‘Needlepoint’ comes out on the 13th September and we can’t wait to get our paws on it. Pre-order your copy of ‘Needlepoint, A Modern Stitch Directory’ (£17.99) now!

What’s better than a new handbag? A new handbag that you made yourself of course, enter Rosanna Clare. Choose from made to order goodies or DIY kits depending on what kind of fashionista you are, personally we’re on a craft kit ban right now so we’re go ahead and grab one of these ‘Canvas and leather tote bags’ (£70) - loopholes baby!
