The Indie Biz Village 2024

It’s back! The Stitch Festival is happening 21st – 24th March at the Business Design Centre in London and we’re delighted to announce that we’ve curated the Indie Biz Village again. This year we are spotlighting six incredible small businesses in our market-style area at the event, and they’re all brand new exhibitors to the show. What is The Stitch Festival?

The Stitch Festival is a four-day craft extravaganza of all things sewing and stitch. You can expect to find workshops galore, demos and catwalk shows and sewing celeb Q&As too, plus the chance to shop with some of your favourite craft brands in person. And it’s not just for dressmakers! There are exhibitors and workshops representing everything from crochet and cross stitch to macrame and weaving. Basically, all the good stuff.

We’d love to see you there! Book your tickets ASAP here

Sheepers

Imagine making your own actual slippers - so wholesome. Owner Nicola Skowronek is bringing her cosy brand Sheepers to the Small Biz Village so you’ll be able to get up close and personal with her iconic sheepskin slippers and discover her brilliant Slipkits for making your own pair. Our favourite fact: all the slippers are made by Polish artisans and feature a design that’s been in Nicola’s family for generations. Now that’s heritage.

Founder Ruth has created a brand of modern kits that celebrate the joy of hand stitching. The Make Arcade’s colourful cross stitch, felt, applique and embroidery designs are ideal for craft beginners, dabblers or magpies and might just be the happiest kits around. Everything is designed in their Salisbury studio and made in the UK. Look out for haberdashery supplies on their stand too - every item shares that signature sense of play and delight.

 Threid Stitches

This is the stand you won’t be able to keep your hands off! Hand embroidery brand Threid Stitches grew from founder Lorna’s love for Scottish landscapes. Her richly textured hoop art pieces are inspired by the highlands and islands and are totally showstopping. The vibe is abstract and deliciously tactile. Lorna also creates prints and landscape embroidery kits, and offers a bespoke service if there’s a Scottish location you’d love to have captured in colour and yarn.
